At innolectric, development is at the heart of the company. We develop our charging solutions for electric mobility entirely in-house, from the initial idea to series production. Our products are based on IP developed entirely in-house.

The hardware, including circuit design, PCB layouts, and mechanical construction, is developed at our Bochum site. We write the firmware ourselves, including the communication protocols, safety functions, and all the functions that control the behavior of our components. We only use customized code. The software that handles charging communication is also developed in-house. There is no purchasing or standard products – only targeted development for demanding e-mobility applications.

For DC charging communication, the cable lengths on the vehicle and charging infrastructure sides are regulated by standards. A customer needed a longer cable, which posed a potential risk to signal quality and charging interruptions. Thanks to our IP, however, we were able to adapt the system so that the high-frequency signal is reliably transmitted even with longer cable lengths. This was a minor adjustment for us, but a significant advantage for the customer.

Our customers want easy integration of charging solutions into their overall system. That’s why we provide personal technical support at our Bochum location or yours. Our customer service, R&D, and testing teams work together closely. This enables us to quickly find solutions for pre-integration with specific charging stations in the customer’s infrastructure, implement test scenarios in the customer’s setup, and make targeted software adjustments for seamless integration.
