DC Charge Controller for electric mobility
DC charging in demanding applications
The innolectric D3C acts as the communication interface in the vehicle to the charging infrastructure. DC charging is possible internationally with CCS1, CCS2 and NACS. Integration of the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) standard is well underway. This enables charging in all vehicle classes with one component – including heavy-duty vehicles. The D3C takes into account the IEC 61851, DIN 70121 and ISO 15118-20 standards.
The industries in which the innolectric charging solutions are used are diverse. They include solutions for heavy-duty vehicles in the construction and agricultural sectors, as well as marine and airport apron applications. The interoperability of the D3C has been proven in numerous field tests. The DC Charging Controlleris already being used by international customers. The D3C’s applications will become even more flexible in the future: AC charging communication will soon be fully integrated into the D3C, supporting both Type 1 and Type 2 AC charging standards, allowing the D3C to charge flexibly depending on the availability of the charging infrastructure.
Software upgradeable to ISO 15118-20
Charging standards, charging communication requirements and customer needs are constantly evolving. The D3C can be updated at any time to receive the latest communication protocols from innolectric. This means that the DC charging controller will be ready for future changes in standards.
