Zero-emission vehicles offer many advantages for this work, as they significantly reduce underground pollution and thus best meet increasing legal requirements. The multi-stage and very costly exhaust aftertreatment that is standard today to meet current emission regulations is completely eliminated with electric vehicles. Energy conversion is also much more efficient, which means less waste heat and associated cooling costs.

Electrifying the fleet makes it more efficient overall, as maintenance costs are significantly lower compared to internal combustion engines.

In open pit mining, vehicles are used in a variety of ways. In the case of electric vehicles, it is important for the work processes that there is usually a constant charging option. Flexible charging is possible with innolectric products. This includes charging with a standard CEE industrial plug. This means that a charging station does not have to be in operation at every charging point – but it is recommended due to the significantly higher personal safety during operation.
